Critics Choice Awards 2026: See the Full Winners List

One Battle After Another took home the most coveted Critics Choice prizes, but don’t count Sinners out quite yet.

At Sunday’s Critics Choice Awards, the 2026 awards season entered high gear—and if the choices of the television, radio, and online critics who make up the Critics Choice Association are any indication, a showdown between One Battle After Another and Sinners might be in the offing.

Those who watched the three-hour-long show might think One Battle took the Critics Choice cake, but Sinners actually took home more awards. Ryan Coogler’s ambitious vampire film came in as the night’s most nominated movie, with 17 nods. The film won four prizes: young actor for Miles Caton, original screenplay for Coogler, score for Ludwig Göransson, and the new casting-and-ensemble award for Francine Maisler.

Meanwhile, One Battle, which started the evening with 14 prospective trophies, ended it with three wins. But all of those were big ones: Paul Thomas Anderson double-dipped by winning both adapted screenplay and director, and his film also took home the best-picture crown.

When it came to the acting awards, Timothée Chalamet seemed legitimately stunned to be named best actor for Marty Supreme. He capped off a brief and scattered speech—during which he admitted he’d only recently learned that Sinners had a game-changing post-credits scene—with a tabloid-feeding acknowledgment of Kylie Jenner, who was seated at the Supreme table. “Thank you to my partner of three years,” he said as he gestured at Jenner. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Amy Madigan, who won best supporting actress for her role in Weapons, seemed similarly gobsmacked. In a perhaps unconscious echo of Sally Field’s famous Oscar speech from 1985, the Hollywood veteran breathlessly exclaimed “You love Gladys!” as she accepted her award.

The night’s film awards were handed out to movies exploring various fears and horrors, while the the TV honors were more about inside baseball. The Studio took home statuettes for lead actor Seth Rogen and supporting actor Ike Barinholtz, as well as for best comedy series overall. Meanwhile, Jean Smart scored Hacks’ sole win as best actress in a comedy series.

Jimmy Kimmel’s completely unsurprising—but standing-ovation-generating—win for best talk show inspired the most intense expression of affection for the business of show. “Most of all, I want to thank our president, Donald Jennifer Trump, without whom we would be going home empty-handed tonight,” Kimmel said as he accepted the award. “So thank you, Mr. President, for all the many ridiculous things you do each and every day. It’s been a banner couple of weeks, and we can’t wait to get back on the air tomorrow night to talk about them. Thank you, everyone.”
